(Blank) 1981 N/A Prototypes and some early guitars have no numbers.
(No number) 1981-1983 Stamped Prototypes / one offs / aftermarket mutts.
AXXXX 1981-1982 Stamped Two styles of plates were used. Started at A5000-ish.
BXXXX 1982-1983 Stamped Two styles of plates were used.
BXXXXX 1988-1990 Stamped One style of plate was used. (Surplus "B" plates exist.)
CXXXX 1983-1984 Stamped Two styles of plates were used.
DXXXX 1984-1985 Stamped Two styles of plates were used.
EXXX 1985-1988 Stamped One style of plate was used. Ripleys only.
